Ontario (CNO). Based upon your Assessment<br />

Letter from the CNO, you will be given an<br />

individualized program of study designed to<br />

meet your learning needs.<br />

Admission Requirements<br />

1.Assessment Letter from the <strong>College</strong> of Nurses<br />

AND<br />

2. You must have practiced as a nurse within<br />

the last 10 years AND<br />

3. All applicants for whom English is a second<br />

language must attend a Canadian English<br />

Language Benchmark Assessment and achieve<br />

a benchmark of 7, ( I-CELBAN must also be<br />

completed within 3 months post admission).<br />

4. Proof of Canadian citizenship, permanent<br />

residency OR authorized under the Immigration<br />

and Refugee Protection Act (Canada).<br />

NOTE: You must be able to use a computer to<br />

produce a basic WORD document, use e-mail,<br />

and the internet. Please refer to computer<br />

courses COMPCO296 or INFOBW001 in this<br />

catalogue.<br />

Your program of study, based upon your<br />

Assessment Letter from the CNO, will be sent<br />

to you before the start of the semester. Refer<br />

to your program of study for prerequisites<br />

and co-requisites. You MUST complete all<br />

courses in your program before attending<br />

clinical experience. Clinical experiences take<br />

place between April and August each year and<br />

are scheduled taking into consideration your<br />

individual learning needs and the availability of<br />

clinical sites. You require medical clearance,<br />

mask fit testing, Police check and BCLS before<br />
