Tundra - Close Protection<br />

Learn the skills required to become a Close<br />

Protection Officer through a program developed<br />

in partnership with Tundra Strategies, a Global<br />

provider of Close Protection and Security<br />

Operations. The Tundra/<strong>Mohawk</strong> Close<br />

Protection course has been developed from<br />

years of operational experience received<br />

from working within Government, Diplomatic<br />

and Private Organizations that perform Close<br />

Protection and Covert Surveillance operations<br />

around the world.<br />

Tundra Provides one of the most<br />

comprehensive private Close Protection<br />

courses available by using a training program<br />

that focuses on the key fundamentals and<br />

supporting skill requirements, conducted<br />

through a system of progressive courses that<br />

continue to add new teaching points while<br />

building on previously learned skills. This<br />

program provides more than 250 hours of<br />

instruction and employs the use of simunitionbased<br />

firearms scenarios, Judgemental training<br />

through the use of the Virtra Combat Simulator<br />

and multi-faceted classroom and practical<br />

teaching methods.<br />

Tundra's instructors are former Canadian<br />

Special Operations Personnel with documented<br />

Close Protection experience at the diplomatic<br />

and government levels.<br />

check and vulnerable sector check from the<br />

RCMP or equivalent agency.<br />

These courses take place at the Tundra<br />

facility located at 1393 Centre Line Road,<br />

Clearview Ontario (south of Wasaga Beach<br />

and West of Barrie)<br />

Class times are scheduled 8AM to 5:30PM<br />

most days however this program is very<br />

scenario and planning based so students must<br />

understand they will be expected to work odd<br />

hours and they will have homework that will<br />

need to be completed every night.<br />

Yoga Teacher Training<br />

Intended for students who are interested in<br />

the possibility of becoming a yoga teacher.<br />

Designed to help prepare individuals to teach<br />

and adjust beginner yoga and meditation safely<br />

and with confidence to fit the uniqueness of the<br />

individual. Topics will include: Ayurvedic mind/<br />

body constitution, age ability, culture, religion<br />

and lifestyle. The current course offerings cover<br />

basic yoga techniques (asana, pranayama,<br />

meditation, relaxation) and yoga teaching<br />

methodologies.<br />

**Please note that at this time, these courses<br />

are NOT being offered as part of a certificate<br />

program. We encourage you to contact the<br />

Admission Requirements<br />

These courses are intended for individuals<br />

who have studied yoga previously. In order to<br />

be admitted into the courses, students must<br />

submit a personal statement describing their<br />

yoga studies. To be successful in the courses<br />

students should have at least 2 years of<br />

previous yoga training. To apply, please contact<br />

Yoga Teacher Training Basics<br />

Students will gain the ability to identify and<br />

define basic yoga techniques through study<br />

and personal practice. Students will also study<br />

an introduction to the history and philosophy of<br />

yoga and explore key components of practicing<br />

a yoga pose and creating an asana practice.<br />

Students require a yoga mat in order to<br />

participate in this class.<br />

Students will study the history and philosophy<br />

of classical yoga and relate the teachings to<br />

their own yoga journey. Students will then<br />

specialized area of interest in yoga teaching<br />

such as high risk youth, seniors or stress<br />

management. This is an online course.<br />
