Happy new year and welcome to the<br />
summer edition of <strong>On</strong><strong>Track</strong> Magazine.<br />
Following a successful Night <strong>Racing</strong> Season Launch on AFL Grand<br />
Final Eve, an exciting Tatts Cox Plate Day, and recent Christmas<br />
night race meetings throughout December, we now look forward to<br />
many summer and autumn nights at the <strong>Valley</strong>.<br />
It was again great to see so many MVRC Members here at <strong>Moonee</strong><br />
<strong>Valley</strong> on Tatts Cox Plate Day to witness Craig Williams aboard Pinker<br />
Pinker to win a Cox Plate for trainer Greg Eurell. This great day of<br />
racing which also saw Americain win the Drake International Cup and<br />
Black Caviar win her 15th consecutive race in the Schweppes Stakes,<br />
followed a terrific few days of Cox Plate week events.<br />
In this edition of <strong>On</strong><strong>Track</strong>, I hope you enjoy reading Shane Anderson’s<br />
review of Pinker Pinker winning the Tatts Cox Plate, Adrian Dunn’s<br />
feature on one of Americain’s owners and sports fanatics, Gerry Ryan,<br />
and we hear from Craig Williams following his successful spring and<br />
more recently his group one victory aboard Dunadan in The Cathay<br />
Pacific Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin.<br />
Andrew Garvey gives us an inside perspective on some of the men<br />
behind the Darley operation, Bruce Clark provides us with a preview<br />
of Royal Ascot, and <strong>Racing</strong> Victoria’s Sprints Handicapper, Neil Jennings<br />
talks about the best Australian sprinters of all time, their records, their<br />
victories, and Black Caviar.<br />
