Westwood-Clear Creek<br />

The property owners <strong>and</strong> residents <strong>of</strong> the Hallelujah Junction area have initiated<br />

the formation <strong>of</strong> a fire protection district. The <strong>Lassen</strong> County <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Supervisors<br />

adopted Resolution No. 2003-079 supporting the formation <strong>of</strong> the “Hallelujah<br />

Junction <strong>Fire</strong> <strong>Protection</strong> District” on November 25, 2003. District formation is<br />

anticipated, after Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) approval, to be<br />

completed in 2004 with services for structural fire protection <strong>and</strong> medical assistance<br />

contracted out to neighboring Sierra Valley <strong>Fire</strong> <strong>Protection</strong> District.<br />
