CONCESSIONS

A key source of funds that support the Zoo, FONZ’s merchandise,
parking, and food-service concessions raised $3.5 million for the Zoo
in 2007.
MEMBERSHIP AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS .
As education programs expanded in 2007,
so did revenues:

Revenues from classes increased from $66,000 the previous year to
almost $86,000, an all-time high.
Revenues from the Snore & Roar sleepover program increased from
$82,000 in 2006 to $136,000 in 2007.
Nature Camp revenues reached a record high of $155,000 in 2007
from 134,000 the previous year.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

In 2007, corporate members Anheuser-Busch, Miller Brewing
Company, Siemens, Velsor Properties, Lyondell, Baker, Donelson,
Berman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, Booz Allen Hamilton, Omni
Shoreham Hotel, and Whole Foods provided FONZ with $65,000 in
revenue.
2007 DONATIONS

FONZ received a $1 million pledge for construction of the new
Cheetah Science Facility at the Zoo’s Conservation and Research
Center.
General contributions totaled more than $318,000.
In 2007, FONZ raised more than $160,000 for the Giant Panda
Conservation Fund.
FONZ’s year-end appeal raised more than $86,000 for cheetahs and
their conservation.
