ian Hu<br />

Ian Hu was born in Hong Kong and grew<br />

up in Toronto. After completing a Master’s<br />

degree in philosophy at the University of<br />

Toronto, Ian obtained his J.D. from Osgoode<br />

Hall Law School, where he was the Pro<br />

Bono Students Canada coordinator. As a<br />

law student he also participated at Parkdale<br />

Community Legal Services in the Worker’s<br />

Rights Group. Specializing in personal injury<br />

law, Ian only represents those who have<br />

been seriously injured. Ian is committed to<br />

advocating on behalf of the <strong>Asian</strong> Canadian<br />

community. As a Mandarin and Cantonese<br />

speaker he is proud to contribute to both his<br />

profession and his community. Ian enjoys<br />

snowboarding, sailing, and cross country<br />

skiing. He plays basketball but he can’t jump<br />

very high.<br />

Daniel Wong<br />

Daniel Wong advises employers on all<br />

aspects of employment and labour relations<br />

including employee hiring and terminations,<br />

employment standards compliance, unfair<br />

practice and human rights complaints and<br />

the development and execution of initiatives<br />

and policies. He represents employers<br />

before the courts on wrongful dismissal and<br />

provincial offence matters, and before various<br />

administrative tribunals on rights arbitration,<br />

employment standards issues, human rights<br />

complaints, occupational health and safety<br />

investigations and workers’ compensation<br />

appeals. Daniel also conducts HR and<br />

employment audits on behalf of employers<br />

to ensure compliance with applicable laws<br />

and employer best practices. Prior to joining<br />

Osler, Daniel articled and practiced at a large<br />

management-side boutique firm and was also<br />

Employment Counsel and Privacy Manager<br />

at McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada. He<br />

is a presenter at conferences and training<br />

seminars, and has also delivered guest<br />

lectures at York University in the areas of<br />

employment and labour law. Daniel is also a<br />

member of the Board of Directors for the Yee<br />

Hong Centre for Geriatric Care.<br />
