From our National Partner Dear Members of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers and Conference Attendees, I’m pleased to have the opportunity once again to welcome you to FACL’s Sixth Annual Conference and Banquet. McCarthy Tétrault is very proud to be FACL’s exclusive National Law Firm Partner. Our partnership, which began in 2011, has seen our organizations making important strides in the promotion of equity, justice and opportunities for Asian Canadians in both the legal profession and wider community. Just this year, FACL and members of McCarthy Tétrault’s Vancouver office collaborated in establishing FACL British Columbia. In addition, our tax partner Chia-yi Chua and our employment law associate Qian Mou, as members of FACL’s board and mentoring committee, are effective FACL champions at our firm. We look forward to working closely with FACL in the next phase of our advocacy, community involvement and professional development for Asian Canadian legal professionals. This is particularly true this year as we celebrate our selection as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers 2013.
