1.3.6. PCI Host Bridge Card<br />

Style<br />

The PCI Host Bridge Card connects by cable to the expansion rack. The cable comes<br />

with the expansion rack.<br />

Note: This PCI Host Bridge Card is not supported on the <strong>Dorado</strong> <strong>400</strong>0, <strong>4100</strong> and<br />

<strong>4200</strong>.<br />

The following are the important characteristics:<br />

• 64-bit, 33-MHz card<br />

• PCI revision 2.2<br />

• Universal add-in card<br />

Can connect to 3.3-volt or 5.0-volt slots<br />

• 2-meter cable supplied<br />

1.3.7. PCI Expansion Rack<br />

Note: For the <strong>Dorado</strong> <strong>400</strong>0 and <strong>4100</strong> this is the “PCI Channel Module.”<br />

Both the SIOP and the CIOP also support a PCI card known as the PCI Host Bridge<br />

Card. This card connects by cable to an expansion rack. The expansion rack has slots<br />

for a maximum of seven additional PCI cards.<br />
