Documentary about the life of women workers under apartheid: the
celebration of women's day in 1986, 30 years after more than 20.000
women protested against the Pass Laws; the living conditions in the
townships; participation in rent and consumer boycotts and
streetfights; the struggle for gender equality in COSATU; the
position of domestic workers, who are least payed and protected
because they are least organised, and how SADWA (South African
Domestic Workers Association) is trying to change that, the
difference in the position of women in the city or in the homelands.

ontwikkelingslanden, en de hypocrisie van de banken en instellingen
als IMF en Wereldbank als het gaat om waar men wel en niet
investeert dan wel leningen verstrekt. Een groot deel gaat over de
investeringen in Zuid-Afrika: Sietse Bosgra van het KZA legt uit
dat het apartheidsregime door buitenlandse investeringen in het
zadel wordt gehouden, en bekritiseert bedrijven die hun
maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid ontkennen.
