Summary:
The tape covers two contrasting memorial services for Steve Biko,
the black conscious leader, killed in detention by South African
police. In the first section, Muntu Mjeza, a black consciousness
leader, addresses a meeting in King Williamstown and takes a
humanist line that in the absence of god, blacks are forced to sort
out their own problems. In the second part a memorial service led
by the Anglican bishop Russell in the Ciskei bantustan, is disrupted
by armed police. The bishop appeals to them to leave but they refuse.

solidariteit met de onderdrukte zwarte bevolking van Zuid-Afrika.
