governing the actions taken by DOD forces performing CS missions (e.g., military assistance to civil<br />
authorities and military support for civilian LEAs) and routine Service functions (including antiterrorism/<br />
FP duties) within US territory (including US territorial waters). The SRUF also apply to DOD forces,<br />
civilians and contractors performing law enforcement and security duties at all DOD installations (and<br />
<strong>of</strong>f-installation, while conducting <strong>of</strong>ficial DOD security functions), within or outside US Territory, unless<br />
otherwise directed by the SecDef. Additional examples <strong>of</strong> these missions, within the US, include<br />
protection <strong>of</strong> critical US infrastructure both on and <strong>of</strong>f DOD installations, military assistance and support<br />
to civil authorities, DOD support during civil disturbance and DOD cooperation with federal, state and<br />
local law enforcement authorities, including CD support.<br />
g. CJCSI 3125.01, Military Assistance to Domestic Consequence Management Operations<br />
in Response to a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or High-Yield Explosives<br />
Situation. This instruction provides operational and policy guidance and instructions for US military<br />
forces supporting domestic CM operations in preparation for responding to a CBRNE situation. This<br />
instruction only applies to domestic CM operations. This instruction is <strong>of</strong> specific importance to the<br />
geographic combatant commands with domestic CBRNE responsibilities.<br />
h. CJCSI 3710.01B, DOD Counterdrug Operational <strong>Support</strong>. This instruction promulgates<br />
SecDef delegation <strong>of</strong> authority to approve certain CD operational support missions. It also<br />
provides, IAW each fiscal year’s national defense authorization act, instruction on authorized<br />
types <strong>of</strong> DOD (Title 10 USC) CD support to the federal agency with lead responsibility, other<br />
government agencies, and foreign nations.<br />
