MENU<br />
SET<br />
• Focus range is 5 cm (0.16 feet) (Wide)/30<br />
cm (0.98 feet) (Tele) to Z.<br />
• Sensitivity will be the same as when you<br />
have set ISO LIMIT in Intelligent ISO<br />
mode [ ] (P45) to [ISO400].<br />
• After turning on the camera in [PET] in<br />
scene mode, the age, current date, and<br />
time appear <strong>for</strong> about 5 seconds at the<br />
bottom of the screen.<br />
• Actual age displays depend on the<br />
[LANGUAGE] setting.<br />
• Check the clock and birthday settings if<br />
the age shown is incorrect.<br />
• Note that if you select [WITHOUT AGE],<br />
age in<strong>for</strong>mation is not recorded. The<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation will not appear even if you<br />
select [WITH AGE] after taking pictures.<br />
• To reset the birthday setting, use<br />
[RESET] in the [SETUP] menu. (P23)<br />
• The digital zoom is fi xed to [OFF].<br />
• The AF assist lamp (P66) is changed to<br />
[OFF].<br />
High Sensitivity mode<br />
Allows you to take pictures at [ISO3200]<br />
level with high sensitivity processing.<br />
• Focus range is 5 cm (0.16 feet) (Wide)/30<br />
cm (0.98 feet) (Tele) to Z.<br />
• The resolution of the recorded picture<br />
decreases signifi cantly because of high<br />
sensitivity processing. This is not a<br />
malfunction.<br />
• The fl ash setting is fi xed to Forced OFF<br />
[v].<br />
• You cannot use the extended optical<br />
zoom or digital zoom.<br />
Beach mode<br />
Prevents under exposure of the subject<br />
under strong sunlight to allow you to take<br />
pictures on a beach.<br />
Advanced-Shooting<br />
Press [ ] to display the [SCENE MODE] menu and select a scene mode. (P47)<br />
• Do not touch the camera with wet hands.<br />
• Sand or seawater may cause the camera<br />
to malfunction. Make sure that sand or<br />
seawater does not come in touch with<br />
the camera, particularly its lens, fl ash or<br />
terminals.<br />
• You cannot change the white balance setting.<br />
d Starry sky mode<br />
Take clear pictures of the night sky or<br />
other dark subjects.<br />
■ Setting the shutter speed<br />
Choose a shutter speed; 15, 30, or 60<br />
seconds.<br />
1 Press e/r to select the shutter speed,<br />
then press [MENU/SET].<br />

• The countdown screen appears. Do not<br />
move the camera. [PLEASE WAIT...]<br />
appears <strong>for</strong> the number of seconds<br />
you chose <strong>for</strong> shutter speed after the<br />
countdown. This is to process the signals.<br />
• To cancel the shot, press [MENU/SET]<br />
while the countdown screen is displayed.<br />
