REMOVING THE SADDLE SUPPORT<br />
Carefully read p. 2 (GENERAL SAFETY RULES).<br />
♦ Remove the rear part of the fairing, see p. 22 (RE-<br />
MOVING THE REAR PART OF THE FAIRING).<br />
♦ Remove the battery as described on p. 75 (BATTERY<br />
STORAGE).<br />
♦ Detach the fuse strip (1) and the two dampers (2) and<br />
(3) from their supports by passing them through the<br />
slot as shown in the figure.<br />
♦ ★Unscrew and remove the 4 screws (4).<br />
♦ Unscrew and remove the filler cap (5).<br />
♦ Remove the cap of the mixer oil tank (6).<br />
♦ Disconnect the fuel breather pipe (7) from the fuel tank.<br />
♦ Disconnect the drainage pipe (9) from the fuel bowl (8).<br />
♦ Remove the fuel bowl (8).<br />
NOTE Disconnect the electric connection of the central<br />
control unit.<br />
♦ Pass the cabling, complete with relay switches and<br />
fuse block through the slot in the front of the saddle<br />
support.<br />
♦ Lift the front section of the saddle support (11), slide it<br />
frontward and remove it.<br />
NOTE When reassembling the saddle support (11),<br />
before positioning it in its seat, refit the fuel bowl (8)<br />
correctly and connect it to the drainage pipe (9).<br />
♦ Screw on the filler cap (5) and return the mixer oil tank<br />
cap (6) to its correct position.<br />
