Brugada syndrome<br />
A syndrome of SCD caused by unpredictable<br />
episodes of recurrent ventricular tachycardia<br />
Is characterized by a 12-lead ECG pattern of<br />
right bundle branch block <strong>and</strong> ST-segment<br />
elevation in right precordial leads V1 to V3. It<br />
is usually associated with rapid polymorphic<br />
ventricular arrhythmia leading to sudden<br />
death.<br />
It is characterized as a syndrome of SCD in<br />
individuals with a structurally normal heart<br />
<strong>and</strong> no evidence of atherosclerotic coronary<br />
artery disease.
