such that the other party suffers as little damage as possible
because of it.
704 A contract for services terminates upon the death of the
person who provides the services.
705 The client's death does not terminate the contract unless
his death renders execution of the contract impossible.
706 When the contract terminates before it is fully executed,
the client must pay the disbursements and the value of the
services rendered.
The person who provided the services must repay any
advances in excess of what he has earned.
CHAPTER IX
MANDATE
Section I
General provisions
707 Mandate is a contract by which the mandator charges
the mandatary to represent him in the performance of a
juridical act.
708 Mandate is an onerous contract unless there is agreement
or usage to the contrary.
The remuneration is determined by the contract or, in
the absence of agreement, by the value of the services
rendered.
709 If a mandate has as its object a contract for which
special conditions as to form are required on pain of nullity,
the mandate is subject to those conditions.
