Born 1947. Pr<strong>of</strong>essor, Department <strong>of</strong> Film and Media Studies, University <strong>of</strong><br />

program Changing Media-Changing Europe, and Director <strong>of</strong> the national Research<br />
School in Media, Communication and Journalism. His recent publications<br />

Thomas Bjørner<br />
Born 1973. M.A. from the Department <strong>of</strong> Communication, University <strong>of</strong><br />
Aalborg, with a minor in Social Science. Teaches media analysis at the Department<br />
<strong>of</strong> Information and Media Science, University <strong>of</strong> <strong>Aarhus</strong>, and the Department<br />
<strong>of</strong> Communication, University <strong>of</strong> Aalborg. Of particular interest:<br />

Laurence Green<br />
Born 1964. M.A. in Literature from McMaster University in Hamilton, and a<br />
degree in Cinema from Concordia University in Montreal. Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />
at York University in Toronto, where he teaches film and video production. Has<br />
directed several award-winning documentaries, including Reconstruction (1995)<br />

Henrik Holch<br />
Born 1973. B.A. in Scandinavian Languages and Literature from the University<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Aarhus</strong>. Studied film and literature at Oslo University in 1998, then film and<br />
TV at the Department <strong>of</strong> Information and Media Studies, <strong>Aarhus</strong>. Currently<br />
doing research for his M.A. thesis. Has published a dozen poems as well as<br />
articles on Søren Kirkegaard's concept <strong>of</strong> repetition and on Lars von Trier's<br />
Breaking the Waves. In 1996 he founded Vandfanget, a magazine published at the<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Scandinavian Languages and Literature, which he also edited in<br />
1996 and 1997.<br />
Gitte Hvid<br />
Born 1974. Studied at the Department <strong>of</strong> Music and Music <strong>The</strong>rapy at the<br />
University <strong>of</strong> Aalborg, and later at the Department <strong>of</strong> Information and Media<br />
Studies, University <strong>of</strong> <strong>Aarhus</strong>. Co-director/producer <strong>of</strong> Jutta Ravn – Skitse til et<br />
portræt, a graduation project at the Department <strong>of</strong> Information and Media<br />
Studies. Currently working on an M.A. thesis about the stylistic/harmonic<br />
characteristics in the works <strong>of</strong> popular music artist Phil Collins.<br />
