3. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NEW<br />
MODULES<br />
Although quite a lot <strong>of</strong> useful <strong>in</strong>formation related to the Key-topic is conta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> the<br />
projects and can be used for the elaboration <strong>of</strong> didactic materials, it is usually not<br />
presented <strong>in</strong> the right format for teach<strong>in</strong>g purposes.<br />
A general package about "Integration <strong>of</strong> <strong>Transport</strong> Cha<strong>in</strong>s" could be prepared,<br />
touch<strong>in</strong>g the different levels and issues <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> the topic. Further materials to go<br />
deep <strong>in</strong>to those subtopics which are not covered by other Key-topics <strong>in</strong> <strong>PORTAL</strong><br />
(<strong>Transport</strong> and Land use plan<strong>in</strong>g is already met <strong>in</strong> KT 1 and 9), and studied <strong>in</strong> specific<br />
projects may be developed.<br />
The general package could be structured <strong>in</strong> modules oriented to different users.<br />

These could be developed for politicians, transport operators and technicians, The<br />
projects conta<strong>in</strong> quite a lot <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>formation and good practice guides to develop specific<br />
modules about design and implementation <strong>of</strong> physical measures <strong>in</strong> Interchanges and<br />
its surround<strong>in</strong>gs to elim<strong>in</strong>ate barriers to the use <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>termodal public transport.<br />
There is a generalised lack <strong>of</strong> graphical <strong>in</strong>formation about the case studies, that could<br />
be very useful for didactic purposes, <strong>in</strong> order to show the application <strong>of</strong> the concepts.<br />
It would be important to <strong>in</strong>clude new photographs, plans and functional diagrams, as it<br />
is <strong>of</strong>ten the most easy material to understand, and a lot <strong>of</strong> written descriptions <strong>of</strong> the<br />
different <strong>in</strong>terchanges can be substituted by expressive images.<br />
