English 18 SK 41 Safety Relay 8. Error diagnosis Onl�� the green LED ma�� illuminate i� the suppl�� voltage has been correctl�� connected. I� the yellow or red LED illuminates, there is an error in the s��stem which can be pinpointed with the aid o� the LED. LED Error Error correction Green Power LED does not illuminate Yellow Actuate LED is illuminated Yellow Actuate LED flashes Red Fault LEDs illuminate The supply voltage is missing, too low or has been connected incorrectly Sensor actuated, incorrectly connected or defective Operating mode "manual reset" only: Sensor no longer actuated or interrupted, switching unit waits for reset pulse at Z1, Z2 Sensor(s) not connected, connected incorrectly or faulty Check connections and supply voltage: - 230 V AC (or 115 V) at terminals A1 A2 or - 24 V AC/DC at terminal B1 B2 Tolerance range: ±10 % - Check the connections of the corresponding sensors (squeezed or brittle supply lines, etc.) - Check sensors* Not an error, normal behaviour following an error in "manual reset" mode (see 5.4) - Check the connections of the corresponding sensors (squeezed or brittle supply lines, etc.) - Check sensors* * I� the error is not in the wiring, the �unction o� the electronics can be tested b�� connecting an 8.2 kΩ resistor to the sensor input on the SK 41 switching unit (terminals X1 X2). I� the electronics work per�ectl�� a�ter per�orming the test, the sensor must be checked using an ohmmeter. To do this, the connection o� the sensor to the switching unit must be disconnected and connected to an ohmmeter. The resistance must be 8.2 kΩ ±100 Ω when the sensor is inactive and must not exceed 500 Ω when the sensor is active.
9. Example of use Sa�et�� related monitoring o� a sa�et�� contact edge with start release via enable button and separate routing o� the control circuits (sa�et�� categor�� 3 compliant use acc. to EN ISO 13849-1). For �unctional test o� contactors K1 and K2, the normall�� closed contacts o� these contactors are integrated in the start circuit (Z1 Z2). The auxiliar�� rela�� output is used �or visualising the switching state o� the sa�et�� contact edge. Circuit diagram in zero-potential state. Sensor not actuated.
