Charcoal 2,271 households were using charcoal and this was<br />
mainly in the main town within the district.<br />
9.2 Trends in Energy, Production, Consumption, Costs and<br />
Projections<br />
There are only two small scale hydro-power Generating plants in the district. One is<br />
located in Chogoria location along the Maara River while the other is located along<br />
Tungu River near Kaanwa market in Chuka division.<br />
