Jeffrey Irwin suffered a fatal heart attack at<br />

home after becoming ill at <strong>the</strong> scene<br />

of a structure fire. A ten-year veteran<br />

with <strong>the</strong> department, he held<br />

numerous certificates, including:<br />

Firefighter II, Instructor I,<br />

Auto Extrication Specialist I,<br />

and Skywarn wea<strong>the</strong>r spotter.<br />

He was also a former<br />

Eldorado Auxiliary Police<br />

member and was certified<br />

as an EMTA.<br />

He worked as a sales representative for Townley<br />

Manufacturing. He was a Ducks Unlimited<br />

member and sponsor and a member of<br />

Saline Ridge Baptist Church.<br />

Jeffrey Irwin was survived by<br />

his son, Kaleb; his daughter,<br />

Kelley; his parents, Joe and<br />

Janet Irwin; a cousin who<br />

was as close as a bro<strong>the</strong>r,<br />

David Stricklen; his sister,<br />

Anita Lowery; and<br />

extended family.<br />

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference,<br />

ignore <strong>the</strong> small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to<br />

big differences that we often cannot foresee.<br />
