Age: 54<br />

Assistant Chief Lee Walters suffered a<br />

fatal heart attack while supervising<br />

personnel operating at a working<br />

fire in a large single family<br />

dwelling. He was employed by<br />

<strong>the</strong> Sheldon Fire District for<br />

<strong>the</strong> past six years. <strong>The</strong> year<br />

2006 was Chief Walters’s<br />

39th year in <strong>the</strong> fire service.<br />

He had a very rewarding<br />

career which started in <strong>the</strong> volunteer service<br />

in North East Pennsylvania.<br />

Chief Walters is survived by his<br />

wife, Lynn, and son, Jason, who is<br />

a career firefighter with Hilton<br />

Head Island Fire Rescue in<br />

South Carolina.<br />

He is loved and will be<br />

missed by many!<br />
