The following product tables in this guide comprise the best
open-end products traded at SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach.
At the end of June, the investment spectrum included a total
of 2'162 ETFs and ETPs listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and
Open-end Tracker Certificates listed on Scoach Switzerland.
The tables were selected using carefully chosen criteria, arranged
in descending order according to their CHF performance
of the past year. Only products, which have been traded for
more than one year, were considered in the selection process.
In view of the high degree of complexity of the database and
the combination of different data providers of all kinds, no
responsibility is accepted for the accuracy of the information;
although, the information provided in this guide is the best
available to the authors at the time.

the product tables
Product names
The terms used to describe ETFs and ETPs are in accordance
with SIX terminologies. Tracker names are those used by
Scoach Switzerland. Due to a shortage of available space, however,
some product names had to be shortened.
Master and price data
Master data is taken from Bloomberg, SIX Swiss Exchange,
Exfeed and Derivative Partners. Price data (appointed date:
June 28, 2013) is supplied by Bloomberg Data Service. The
price on June 28, 2013 is equivalent to the closing value of the
product in the trading currency.
Performance
The performance in CHF over the period of one and three years
is calculated on the basis of bid prices to ensure data is objective.
Should data be missing on the three-year performance,
it means that the product has not yet been on the market for
that length of time.
Spreads
Calculation of the spreads (ask price – bid price : average of
ask and bid price) is made on an specific date at the end of
July 2013. Determining the management fees for Tracker Certificates
proved to be particularly difficult due to the lack of a
source providing complete data.
Assets under Management
«Assets under Management» are based on data provided by
Bloomberg. Unfortunately, information on ETFs and ETPs is
incomplete and more or less totally non-existent for Tracker
Certificates.
DP-Rating
Rating categories awarded by Derivative Partners Media (1 to 3
stars) are based on the following criteria: spread, management
fee and tradability/liquidity. Amongst the Tracker Certificates,
there are some, which only achieved one star. This is because
they have sold out in the meantime, and regular trade no longer
takes place.
