OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM The daily operations of Gannawarra Shire Council are performed by 184 dedicated full-time, parttime and casual employees. Council’s executive management team is led by Chief Executive Officer, Ms Rosanne Kava. Other members of the executive managment team are Director Infrastructure, Planning and Regulatory Services Geoff Rollinson, Director Corporate and Customer Services Robyn Rudge and Director Community Services Jason Russell. Ms Rosanne Kava Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rosanne commenced as Chief Executive Officer at Gannawarra Shire Council in March 2006 following several years as Deputy CEO and General Manager Infrastructure and Environment at Swan Hill Rural City Council. She has worked as a senior manager in the Federal Government including with the Department of Primary Industries and Energy and the Department of Transport and Regional Services. She also served Australia for three years as the Counsellor, Agriculture and Minerals, at the Australian embassy in Rome. Through her career she has served on a number of Boards both locally and interstate. Rosanne has a Bachelor and Masters degree in chemical engineering, and extensive strategic management and leadership experience. Rosanne is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Rosanne has a strong commitment to improving Council’s service delivery across the board, and to continuing to achieve a high level of community engagement in local planning. Ms Robyn Rudge Director Corporate and Customer Services Robyn joined Council in October 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a qualified CPA. She has over ten years of experience in sound financial management, corporate governance, business planning and auditing within the public sector. She has previously held positions with SA Water Corporation, the South Australian Auditor-General's Department and is a former member of the South Australian CPA Public Sector Committee. Robyn's role is to lead Council’s finance, communications, customer services, human resources, risk management, occupational health and safety, libraries, arts and culture, and information management functions. Robyn is committed to working with the community to achieve results. Mr Geoff Rollinson Director Infrastructure, Planning and Regulatory Services Geoff has worked for both the former Borough and Shire of Kerang prior to amalgamation. He has held the position of Works Engineer and Manager of Operational Services since 1995 and has a Diploma in Civil Engineering. As the Director of Infrastructure, Planning and Regulatory Services, Geoff's role is to lead Council's engineering, operational, planning, building, local laws and asset management functions. Mr Jason Russell Director Community Services OUR ORGANISATION consolidating our future Jason started with the Gannawarra Shire Council in July 2009. Prior to joining Council, Jason was the Executive Officer of the Central Murray Area Consultative Committee, a Federal Government funded regional development body, which worked closely with ten Councils each side of the Murray River, including the Gannawarra Shire. Jason worked for over 12 years in the Funds Management industry at ANZ Funds Management and Allianz Global Investors, where he held senior roles in Client Relations, Marketing and Investment Portfolio Management. He holds a Bachelor of Economics. In his role as Director Community Services, Jason is responsible for Community Care Services, Children’s Services, Maternal and Child Health, Immunisation, Environmental Health, Health Promotion, Grants, Community Planning and Environment, Youth, Community Transport, Indigenous Affairs and the Mystic Park Cemetery.
