OUR SHIRE
Gannawarra Shire is located beside
the Murray River, in the Loddon
Murray region of the northwest of
Victoria, three hours’ drive from
Melbourne. The municipality spreads
over 3,736 square kilometres. More
than 11,000 people call Gannawarra
Shire home.
The main population centres within
the Shire are Kerang and Cohuna,
with townships of Koondrook, Lake
Charm, Lalbert, Leitchville, Macorna,
Murrabit, Mystic Park, and
Quambatook.
The climate and landscape of
Gannawarra is ideal for a wide range
of agricultural, industrial and
recreational activities.
Gannawarra Shire has a diverse range
of agriculture within its borders.
