Uncertain Spellings
If you are uncertain about how to spell a word, type an asterisk
(*) to stand for any missing portion of a word, including prefixes,
suffixes, spaces, symbols, or any number of letters. Note: If you
type an asterisk at the beginning of a word, it may take a little
while to find the matching words.
1. At the search entry screen, type known letters, and a * in
place of any string of unknown characters.
• To type an asterisk, press + ?*.
2. Press enter .
3. Press / to select a word you want from the list and
then press enter .
Expanding Your Search
You can also expand any search to include synonyms. When
performing a word search, press the softkey MORE to expand
the search for words of similar meanings. The sections of the
Bibles with matches are displayed. The number of matches in
each section is displayed following the section title. Press /
and then enter to select the section, Book, Chapter and Verse
you want.
