Warren G. McCarter<br />

Warren Giles McCARTER, 70, of 240 Ardennes St., Mishawaka, died at 2:55 a.m. toda<br />

at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka.<br />

He was born June 31, 1920 [sic] in Macy to Alva and Doris PALMER McCARTER. He<br />

moved to Mishawaka in 1949 from Logansport. On March 14, 1942 in Peru he married<br />

Jacqueline M. MURRAY, who survives. He was a retired mechanic from Preston Trucking<br />

Company, South Bend. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Avalon Grotto, the South<br />

Bend Commandery, the First Christian Church of Mishawaka and was a life member of the VFW.<br />

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.<br />

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Linda D. ZULTANSKI, South Bend, and<br />

Pamela J. BADBY, Portage; three grandchildren; a sister, Ellen BARTLETT, Macy, and a brother,<br />

Charles [McCARTER], Zionsville.<br />

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St.,<br />

South Bend, with Dr. Traverce HARRISON officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Memorial<br />

Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, where a Masonic memorial<br />

service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Shrine Hospital for<br />

Crippled Children, 211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60635.<br />

Charlotte E. Graham<br />

Charlotte E. GRAHAM, 91, Linden, died at 9:45 p.m. Friday in Home Hospital,<br />

Lafayette.<br />

She was born May 14, 1899 in Swayzee. In 1919 she moved from Lafayette to<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, where she lived until 1984. She then moved to Linden to live with her daughter,<br />

Hariette BAUGH. After becoming ill in March 1985 she was admitted to Heritage Health Care in<br />

West Lafayette. On Aug. 21, 1918 in Louisville, Ky., she married Gordon GRAHAM, who died<br />

in 1958. <strong>The</strong>y owned and operated the <strong>Rochester</strong> City Dairy for 20 years and were in the dairy<br />

business for 50 years. She was a member of the Rocheter Presbyterian Church and the Child<br />

Study Club.<br />

Surviving with the daughter, Mrs. Evan (Hariette) BAUGH, are three grandchildren; a<br />

great-grandson; five step-grandchildren, and twelve step-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death<br />

were two sons and two sisters.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Rick RHODES officiating. Burial will<br />

be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Hahn Funeral<br />

Home, Linden.<br />

Fred FERGUSON, 86, of 1012 Jefferson St., died at 9:18 a.m. today at Woodlawn<br />

Hospital.<br />

Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>.
