Leo Ambler<br />
Leo “Pete” AMBLER, 97, of 222 Parkview St., Plymouth, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday in<br />
Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth. He was born Nov. 28, 1893 in Star City, to James F. and<br />
Nancy VENSILE AMBLER, and had lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> and Macy. On Aug. 28, 1915 he married<br />
Leona DuBOIS, who died Jan. 16, 1973. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Christian<br />
Church, the Masons and the Eastern Star, all of Macy.<br />
Surviving are a daughter, Veva A. DONALDSON, North Manchester; a son, Leo E.<br />
[AMBLER], Plymouth; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren, and four greatgreat-grandchildren.<br />
A daughter, JoAnn SHOEMAKER, died on Sept. 13, 1989.<br />
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the VanGilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison<br />
St., Plymouth, with the Revs. Kenneth YINGST and Harriet FINNEY officiating. Burial wil be in<br />
the Plainview Cemetery, Macy. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be<br />
made to the Plymouth Church of the Brethren.<br />
Marsha C. Pitcock<br />
Marsha Caroline MASON PITCOCK, 50, Rt. 2, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died Monday at her home.<br />
She was born Sept. 26, 1940 in Brazil to Melvin and Ethel TRACKWELL MASON. She<br />
moved from Indianapolis to <strong>Rochester</strong> three years ago. She was married to Ben T. PITCOCK,<br />
who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Stephanie MASCHINO, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Lisa<br />
ROGERS, Indianapolis; a son, Richard [PITCOCK], Indianapolis; a brother, Melvin [MASON]<br />
Jr., Martinsville; a sister, Linda MASON, and five grandchildren. Preceding in death were her<br />
parents. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel<br />
with the Rev. W. Duane YEGERLEHNER officiating.. Burial will be in the Floral Park<br />
Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday.<br />

Jimmy D. Rude<br />
Jimmy D. RUDE, 46, 2733 W. 200 S., Warsaw, died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at his<br />
residence, following a six-month illness.<br />
He was born Nov. 14, 1944 in Effingham, Ill., to Sylvan D. and Mabel E. CALLOWAY<br />
RUDE. He moved to Warsaw from <strong>Rochester</strong> in 1969. On April 5, 1964 he married LaVada S.<br />
“Candy” JOHNSON, who survives. He was a R.R. Donnelly & Sons Company production<br />
planning supervisor. He was a graduate of <strong>Rochester</strong> High School and the Christian Bible<br />
Institute. He had attended International Business College, Fort Wayne; Volunteer State, Gallatin,<br />
Tenn.; Ozark Bible, Joplin, Mo., and Johnson Bible, Knoxville, Tenn. He was ordained to<br />
Christian ministry on Feb. 8, 1976. He was the pastor of the Collamer Christian Church from<br />
1977-79 and the pastor of several part-time ministries in Tennessee and Indiana. He was an elder<br />
and Sunday School teacher at First Christian Church of Warsaw.<br />
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Julie) MILLER, Warsaw; two sons,<br />
James and Joshua [RUDE], at home; four grandchildren, and a brother, Glenn L. [RUDE],<br />
Des Plaines, Ill. Preceding in death was a son, John A. [RUDE]<br />
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church of Warsaw with the<br />
Revs. R. Paul BODEN, Ronnie SAMS and Danny PITZER officiating. Burial will be in the<br />
Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m Friday at Titus Funeral<br />
Home, Warsaw. Memorials may be made to the John A. Rude Memorial Tape <strong>Library</strong>, the<br />
American Cancer Fund, the First Christian Church or its building fund.
