Carol E. Pine<br />

Carol E. PINE, 69, of 2600 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, formerly of Lake Bruce, died at<br />

5:05 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center, Kokomo.<br />

She was born July 9, 1921 in Deer Creek to Verne A. and Ruth DAVIS MOORE. On<br />

July 8, 1939 in Tipton she married Russell L. PINE, who died Feb. 25, 1982. She retired in 1972<br />

from Accurate Parts, Kokomo, and had also worked for Stellite. She attended Trinity Wesleyan<br />

Church, Kokomo.<br />

Surviving are four sons, David A. [PINE], Walton; Joseph K. and Russell D. [PINE],<br />

both of Kokomo, and Dan [PINE], Kewanna; three daughters, Ruthann HAWKINS and Phyllis C.<br />

LINDLEY, both of Kokomo, and Joyce HOFMAN, Cleveland, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; two<br />

great-grandchildren; three step-grandcvhildren; three step-great-grandchildren, and two sisters,<br />

Wilma BACH, Chicago, and Virginia VOGUE, Kokomo. Preceding in death were two brothers<br />

and three grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eller Mortuary, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, with<br />

the Rev. Roger A. PARSONS officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kokomo.<br />

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Betty L. Clark<br />

Betty Lou CLARK, 38, of Effort, Pa., a former <strong>Rochester</strong> High School teacher and girls<br />

basketball coach, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick,<br />

N.J.<br />

Her death was due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident Friday Night in New Jersey.<br />

She was born Oct. 29, 1952 in Princeton to Elmon and Virginia DYRE CLARK. She<br />

was in her third year as head coach of the girl’s basketball team at East Stroudsburg (Pa.)<br />

University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and her master’s<br />

degree from Indiana University. She went from <strong>Rochester</strong> High School to Manchester High<br />

School, then to East Stroudsburg.<br />

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Robert FIELDS, Orleans, Ind.; a<br />

brother, Richard CLARK, Melburne, Fla.; a sister, Earlean SWINEHEART, Brazil, and a niece.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ocha-Tetrick Funeral Home, 187 E. Jefferson,<br />

Orleans. Burial wil be in Fairview Cemetery, Orleans. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Memorials may be made to the East Stroudsburg University scholarship fund.<br />

Bertha V. Funk<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Royal Center,<br />

for Bertha V. FUNK, 80, Rt. 2, Kewanna.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Doug WITT will officiate and burial will be in the Royal Center Cemetery.<br />

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.<br />

Mrs. Funk died at 8:05 a.m. Monday at her residence in Ridgemanor, Fla.
