Youth Transition to Work<br />
Program<br />
Connecting your apprenticeship, Technical Studies, and<br />
Civil Engineering degrees<br />
Youth Transition to Work (YTTW) is a state-funded grant program that<br />
promotes work-based learning and continuing education. One goal is to<br />
help students understand the value of apprenticeship opportunities in the<br />
construction trades, as well as to assist them in applying for these<br />
apprenticeships.<br />
Eligibility Requirements<br />
• High School Diploma or GED<br />
• 18–23 years old<br />
• Valid Driver’s License<br />
Benefits<br />
• High paying jobs in the construction<br />
industry<br />
• Scholarships to attend classes at GCC<br />
for participants who have graduated<br />
from partnership high schools<br />
• Career counseling<br />
• Ability to transfer for apprenticeship-on-the-job<br />
training with<br />
college credits.<br />
