Obituary <strong>of</strong> Otto H. Fravert<br />
Carl August Franz <strong>Decendants</strong><br />
Otto Henry Fravert, son <strong>of</strong> Henry and Margaret Vollrath Fravert was born October 2, 1895 on the<br />
Fravert <strong>Home</strong>stead in the Town <strong>of</strong> Warner where he has since made his home.<br />
He was united in marriage to Alma Franz on January 12, 1921. To this union were born three sons,<br />
Leroy, Orlin and Allen, all <strong>of</strong> Greenwood.<br />
He served overseas in France and Germany in World War I. He was treasure for the Town <strong>of</strong> Warner<br />
for 21 years.<br />
Last summer he entered St. Josephs Hospital, Marshfield and after a week was transfered to the Veterans<br />
Hospital at Wood, Wisconsin.<br />
He passed away on Monday, February 2, 1959 at 3:15 a.m. having attained the age <strong>of</strong> 63 years 4 months.<br />
He is survived by his three sons, Leroy, Orlin and Allen, all <strong>of</strong> Greenwood, six grandchildren, one<br />
brother Albert, Greenwood; two sisters Mrs. Anna Plath and Mrs. Lydia Warner, Racine.<br />
He was preceded in death by his wife in October, 1953 and also two brothers and four sisters.<br />
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 5th at the West Side United Church <strong>of</strong><br />
Christ, Rev. Orvil Egbert, pastor, <strong>of</strong>ficiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.<br />
During the service the Mens Choir sant In The Garden <strong>of</strong> Peace and Prayer and Abide With Me<br />
accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Clarence Meinhardt. Other music was rendered on the organ by Mrs.<br />
Walter Schwarze.<br />
The pallbearers were Norbert Kuester, George Kuester, Alfred Schwarze, Arhtur Schwarze, Richard<br />
Moldenhauer and Phillip Vollrath.<br />
Military Rites were conducted by members <strong>of</strong> the Wallis Hinker Legion Post <strong>of</strong> Greenwood. Those<br />
taking part were: Kenneth Speich was Command for the Day. The Firing Squad were Val Yurkovich,<br />
George Plautz, George Grabara, Mike Podobnik, Don Tieman, Wayne Herdrich, Don Lindner,<br />
Lawrence Jackson.<br />
Robert Carl and Laverne Brown were Guards; Al Hemersbach and John D. Speich were Flag Bearers.<br />
Kenneth Rodgers and Kenneth Speich folded the flag and presented it to the family. Dennis Neuenfeldt<br />
sounded taps.<br />
Those from out <strong>of</strong> town were Mrs. Anna Plath, Mrs. Lee Dreshler, Rachine; Mrs. John Weber, Dudahy;<br />
Mrs. Ella Steiger, Milwaukee; Harold Franz, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Franz, Sidney, Montana; Mr. and Mrs.<br />
Hugo Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert, Granton; Mr. and<br />
51
