Everybody on the streets!
Αν μου έλεγε κανείς το καλοκαίρι του 2009, όταν έβλεπα ένα ακόμα από τα
πολλά μου ανίψια να έρχεται στη ζωή, ότι 4 χρόνια αργότερα οι γονείς του θα
βρίσκονταν κατηγορούμενοι μαζί με άλλους 77 που επέλεξαν την γέννα στο
σπίτι, θα το έπαιρνα για κακόγουστο αστείο... Θα μου πεις, κι αν μου έλεγαν ότι
η ‘αστυνομία’ θα πετούσε δακρυγόνα μέσα σε σχολεία, και θα τραμπούκιζε τον
κόσμο στο σπίτι του μέσα, ή ότι κάποια δημοκρατικά εκλεγμένη κυβέρνηση θα
καταλήστευε τους καταθέτες, θα τον πίστευα ;!
Στους δύο μήνες που μεσολάβησαν από το προηγούμενο τεύχος έχει υπάρξει
καταιγισμός παραπλανητικών δημοσιευμάτων για το θέμα της “δίκης των 79”
στον Τύπο και στο διαδίκτυο, ενώ σε κάποια τηλεοπτικά κανάλια έχει πέσει εντολή
‘άνωθεν’ να μην ακουμπήσουν το θέμα όσο είναι ακόμα ζεστό. Μερικά από
όσα γράφτηκαν είναι τόσο γελοία και άνευ βάσης, που σε κάνουν πραγματικά
να αναρωτιέσαι τι εστί δημοσιογραφία στις μέρες μας. Και δε μιλάω για τους
ανώνυμους μπλόγκερ -που στο φινάλε δε θα με εξέπληττε η όποια προχειρότητα
εκ μέρους τους- αλλά για δημοσιογράφους που πληρώνονται για το έργο τους
(από ποιον τελικά δε γνωρίζω) και αναφέρονται στην επικείμενη δίκη (11/06/13)
σαν να έχει ήδη συμβεί, εφευρίσκοντας δικές τους κατηγορίες και στοιχεία τα
οποία προσάπτουν στους κατηγορούμενους χωρίς να λογαριάζουν ότι πλήττουν
την υπόληψη και τον ψυχισμό απλών, καθημερινών ανθρώπων. Ανθρώπων που
αναγκάζονται ξαφνικά μαζί με τη δουλειά, τις υποχρεώσεις, τα δάνεια και τις
οικογένειές τους να αντιμετωπίσουν και μια δικαστική διαδικασία.
Φτάσαμε λοιπόν στο σήμερα, να χωράμε τις λέξεις ‘τοκετός’ και ‘ακτιβισμός’
στην ίδια πρόταση. Φτάσαμε στο σήμερα, να απολαμβάνουμε ‘δημοκρατικά’
καθεστώτα Οργουελικού χαρακτήρα, που καθιστούν παράνομο το να φυτεύεις
το σποράκι στην αυλή σου, να συλλέγεις το βρόχινο νερό ή τα άγρια βοτάνια και
να γεννάς όπου και όπως θέλεις το παιδί σου. Φτάσαμε στο σήμερα, το 2013,
να συμβαίνουν όλα αυτά τα σουρεάλ, μα ο παραλογισμός ο πιο μεγάλος να είναι
η στάση η υπνωτισμένη μας. Ως πότε; Άραγε τι και ποιος θα δώσει αφορμή να
φέρουμε επιτέλους την Ανάσταση της Συνείδησής μας;
Ο δάσκαλός μου στο βελονισμό, λέει πως «ότι πέφτει στην αντίληψή μου
προορίζεται αποκλειστικά για μένα», εννοώντας πως όταν αντιλαμβάνομαι κάτι
να μ’ ενοχλεί, αυτό σημαίνει ότι εγώ είμαι αυτός που πρέπει να κάνω κάτι για
να το αλλάξω. Ας σταματήσουμε λοιπόν να κοιτάμε γύρω μας, να περιμένουμε
«να γίνουμε πολλοί», να βρίσκουμε κάθε δυνατή δικαιολογία, και ας αρχίσουμε
να κάνουμε κάτι για όσα μας ενοχλούν. Τέρμα η κλάψα, τέρμα η ανημποριά. Ας
γίνουμε όντως η αλλαγή του κόσμου. ΕΜΕΙΣ! ΤΩΡΑ! ΕΔΩ!

If someone told me in the summer of 2009, while I was watching once more
a nephew of mine being born, that 4 years later his parents along with 77
others who opted for home birth would be facing a penalty for this choice,
I would’ve warded it off as a joke of a rather bad taste... Well, had they also
told me that the ‘police’ would be throwing tear gas inside school yards, or
creating illegally obtained DNA files, or even that a democratically elected
government would be robbing the people off their money, would I have believed
them ?!
During the last 2 months, the Press and the Internet have been flooded by a
barrage of misleading articles on what is known as ‘the trial of the 79’, while
some of the television channels are under strict orders to avoid touching
this hot potato while it’s still steaming. Some of the things published are so
ludicrous and unsubstantiated that it really makes me wonder about what
constitutes journalism nowadays. And I’m not talking about the anonymous
bloggers to whom, at the end of the day, I might cut some slack. This is done
by (professional) reporters who get paid (by whom, I end up wondering) for
their work and refer to the upcoming trial (11/06/13) as if it has already happened,
fabricating evidence and inventing new charges which they direct at
the defendants. Ofcourse, without for once considering the damage they are
causing to these people’s lives, psyche and reputation. People who, along
with their work, obligations, loans and families, are now forced to deal with
court proceedings.
So here we are today, seeing the words ‘childbirth’ and ‘activism’ being used
in the same sentence. Here we are today, enjoying life in Orwellian ‘democratic’
regimes, that make planting a seed in your yard, collecting the rain
water or the wild herbs and giving birth in the way and place you want, illegal.
Here we are today, year 2013, watching all these surreal events taking place,
yet the most absurd of them all seems to be our attitude of total hypnosis and
apathy. Until when, lads? What does it take, who will be the spark that will
ignite the Resurrection of our Consciousness?
My acupuncture teacher says that “whatever comes to my attention is meant
exclusively for me”, meaning that when I perceive something and realise it
disturbs me, it is up to me to do something about it. So let us stop watching,
waiting for us “to become many”, using every excuse in the book, and let us
start doing everything we can come up with in order to change whatever disturbs
and offends us. No more whining, no more helplessness. Let us indeed
become the change of the world. US! NOW! HERE!
