The City of Greater Geelong’s Economic Development Unit is
Geelong’s peak agency for business and investment support.
While delivering projects that grow and diversify the economy, the
Unit also works one-on-one with businesses looking to invest or
expand within Geelong.
Economic Development offers the following services to the
business community:
> A dedicated business facilitation group that brings together key
staff to facilitate and expedite investment enquiries.
> Assistance with the identification of potential land or buildings to
suit business needs.
> Introductions to peak industry bodies, local networking groups,
infrastructure providers, education & research organisations and
other regional businesses.
> Linkages to business support programs.
> Provision of local knowledge and market research information.
> Business visits to support individual business needs.
> Advocacy on behalf of local businesses to support local industry
and jobs.
