1. A jamboree shall include four (4) teams only.<br />

2. Each team will play a 30-minute half against the three (3) opponents.<br />

3. Participants have the right to make modifications in the rules of play<br />

to suit the training needs of the participants.<br />

4. It will be considered a preseason event and will not count against<br />

the participants' records.<br />

5. Host team may charge admission and gate receipts will be equally<br />

divided among the participating schools. Concessions and parking<br />

receipts belong to the host school.<br />

6. Officials associations will be paid $150.00 for a jamboree.<br />

G. All GHSA varsity soccer games shall be played with one or more officiallydressed<br />

officials who are registered under the GHSA plan for the<br />

registration of officials.<br />

H. In accordance with By-Law 2.66, only one night before a school day per<br />

week may be used with competitions beginning at 6:00 p.m. or later.<br />

1. For evening games, a single game must start no later than 7:30 p.m.<br />

2. For evening games, a double-header must start no later than 6:00<br />

p.m.<br />

I. Teams arriving late for a contest by thirty (30) minutes or more shall forfeit<br />

the game, and shall pay the officials unless prior arrangements are made<br />

in a timely manner, and both teams agree to start the game late or<br />

reschedule it. Consideration will also be given to emergency situations<br />

over which the traveling school has no control. The host school has the<br />

responsibility of notifying the officials of these changes.<br />

J. A student may not participate in more than three (3) halves of soccer per<br />

day.<br />

1. B-Team matches are limited to 35-minute halves.<br />

2. 8th-grade team matches are limited to 25-minute halves.<br />

K. During regular season competition, there will be no overtime periods<br />

played and no penalty kick procedure when regulation play ends with a<br />

tie score. For tie-breaking purposes in the standings, a team will be given<br />

three (3) points for every win, one (1) point for every tie and no points for<br />

a loss. The overtime procedure listed below will be used in region and<br />

state playoff competitions and in tournaments where a winner is necessary<br />

for advancement purposes.<br />

OVERTIME PROCEDURE: Two 10-minute overtime periods.<br />

1. A coin shall be tossed prior to the first overtime period to determine<br />

who will put the ball in play.<br />

2. For matches involving schools from the same classification or<br />

matches in invitational tournaments where advancement depends<br />

on having a winning team, the penalty kick procedure will be used<br />

after the normal overtime procedure if the teams remain tied.
