APPENDIX 1 – JUDGING OVERVIEW<br />

General<br />

Judging of Levels 1 to 3 can be completed in house, but must be completed with the suitably<br />

qualified Judges. This will require a Level 2 Judge to act as the CJP for the competition.<br />

Please refer to Appendix 2 – Sports Acrobatics Judges Pathways.<br />

Execution Deductions<br />

Execution of level 1 to 3 routines will be as per the <strong>Australia</strong>n Sports Acrobatics Judges<br />

Manuals which are based on the FIG Code of Points. Execution is judged out of 10.00<br />

CJP Deductions<br />

There are a number of specific deductions that CJP’s must be aware of:<br />

Omission of a set pair / group skill 1.0<br />

Omission of a set individual skill by any or all members 1.0<br />

Balances held less than the specified time<br />

0.3 per second<br />

No definite start or finish to the routine 0.1<br />

Skills performed out of the set order 0.3<br />

Use of additional matting 0.5<br />

Presence of a coach on the floor 0.5<br />

Unsportsmanlike behaviour whilst on or leaving the floor 0.5<br />

Artistry Deductions<br />

The CJP will also judge artistry. The maximum artistry deduction is 1.0 for levels 1, 2 and 3,<br />

which is taken off the execution score. The specific deductions are:<br />

Accessories lost during performance 0.1<br />

Visible underwear 0.1<br />

Wearing of jewellery 0.1<br />

General appearance is untidy (hair, leotard etc) 0.1<br />

Major height / maturity difference between partners 0.1<br />

Not presenting to judges at the start and end of the exercise 0.1<br />

Many technical errors in the exercise 0.1<br />

No definite start and end to the routine 0.1<br />

Lost/forgotten routine 0.1<br />

Adjustment of leotard<br />

0.1 per time<br />

Leotard slips between glutei or shows iliac crest 0.1<br />

Lack of amplitude of movements throughout the exercise 0.1<br />

Lack of harmony in steps / elements other than connecting steps 0.1<br />

Verbal assistance from the coach 0.1<br />
