(Removed from list)
Interpretative Potential : Low.
There is little of any particular interest within
Access issues : The kirk is located on the r.h.s.
of the road leading up to the kirk of St. Mary’s,
Auchindoir, with no provision for parking cars.
Boundary wall and gate piers : The kirkyard
is surrounded by a beech hedge which is in good
order, though is in need of being clipped.
The Old Kirk : The kirk of 1811 stands as a
consolidated roofless ruin in the pointed Gothic
style. The S. elevation is composed of three
pointed Gothic openings, with a plain ballcapped
birdcage bellcote crowning the W. gable.
The door opening has a cracked lintel with a
concrete lintel behind. The floor of the kirk is
covered in loose stones and debris. The walls
require to be re-pointed in places in order that
the kirk should be consolidated further.
A white marble memorial to a minister of the
kirk lies unceremoniously against a wall internally.
no recumbent tombstones, though there
are under one hundred upright tombstones.
All of the kirk’s internal walls require to be repointed
and the interior could be brushed free
of loose debris.
