We have had one case which was well for four years, and then developed a seondary tumor, in his prostate, probably from some residiuum of his bladder carcinoma. Proof of removal Number of case- Proved by cystoscopy 10 Proved by operation 2 Not proved .. 3 It is our routine to cvstoscope all cases every six months up to five years, unless there be suspicion of carcinoma, hematuria, etc., between these times. Mortality of suprapubic removal Of 9 cases in which this was done. 1 case died of carcinoma one year and nine months after operation, so there was no dircet operative mortality. Papillary carcinoma of the bladder, analysis of the 2 dead or dying cases 1. Extensive carcinoma, all over the bladder, died two years after radium implantation, from metastases to urethra and inguinal glands. 2. Multiple carcinoma of the bladder neck, removed intravesical!)'. Two years later had swollen legs from metastases to glands around iliac veins. INFM.TRATINC. CARCINOMA OF TUT- RLAOOKR Sixty-one cases, including only those which pathological section or palpation or cystoscopy have shown infiltration of Ihe bladder wall.
