<strong>Village</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Geneseo</strong><br />
A short section <strong>of</strong> the “hybrid” alternative, approximately mid block, would include a small<br />
median isl<strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> 10’. The inclusion <strong>of</strong> a median would necessitate a narrowing <strong>of</strong> the parkway in<br />
this small section, so that the roadway’s outside curb line would need to deflect inward. The<br />
change in geometry would encourage traffic calming as cars would adjust their speed to maneuver<br />
the curves. The cross section <strong>and</strong> plan views <strong>of</strong> the hybrid roadway are described in figures 38 <strong>and</strong><br />
39 <strong>and</strong> Figure 40 is a simulation <strong>of</strong> the hybrid option.<br />
