Hosmasa "Yad la Haganah" Museum
Hosmasa (by appointment)
Educational programme.
Hosmasa Yad la"Haganah" Museum –
Built in 1934 over a well, set in sand dunes, the Bauhaus
styled building, served as secrete training base for "Haganah"
members from Holon and area, prior to the establishment of
the state of Israel. The "Haganah" was an underground
organization in the 40's that fought against British mandate
ruling of Palestine.
An interactive exhibition and tour allows visitors to experience
the "Haganah" spirit, learn about the 'security road' and life in
Holon before and during the war of independence.
Visit includes entrance to the old Hosmasa well, and tour of
Hosmasa garden and artifacts.
Extended tour may include visits to additional historic sites as
the Pillbox, the "Security Road" and water tower as well as
new sites and attractions in Holon.
We offer tour programs especially designed for school classes.
