workshop, educational programme, musical programme.
With the help of all its riches of documents, rare objects and
testimonies, MUHM recover and narrate not only the medical
activity in Rio Grande do Sul, state in the South of Brazil, but the
history of our society as well.
We are here to occupy the lacking space in our State, for the
preservation and spreading of the historical-cultural patrimony
of medicine, whether regarding the profession or its
professionals. In the museum’s modern conception, besides the
indispensable need to preserve, it must inform, instigate and
promote knowledge.
