The artist Jean Winance spent the first 30 years of his life in Binche, Belgium.<br />

Despite moving to Tournai, he remained attached to the Carnival of Binche,<br />

which he attended every year and which was the subject of many of his<br />

works. From 17 May to 19 June, 2011, the museum will exhibit engravings –<br />

mostly from a recent donation by the artist’s son, paintings and drawings by<br />

Jean Winance, and objects related to the artist’s life (documents, portraits,<br />

tools, etc.). In collaboration with the Maison de la Culture de Tournai.<br />

free guided tour will be proposed of both the permanent exhibitions and the temporary one, Roger Greisch.<br />
