We open for guided and self-guided tours today as we<br />

celebrate the 20th anniversary of our American Revolutionary<br />

War museum. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<br />

Cantor Arts Center<br />

The Cantor Arts Center presents a wide selection of art in 24<br />

galleries, plus outdoor gardens, courtyards, and terraces — all<br />

admission free. The Center's collection spans 4000 years and<br />

ranges from ancient China to the 21st century, including the<br />

largest collection of Rodin bronzes in the world outside Paris.<br />

Current exhibitions include:<br />

1. A Rediscovered Masterpiece: 12 Drawings from Tiepolo’s<br />

New Testament - Illustrations drawn by the prolific Venetian<br />

master Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo<br />

2. True Colors: Rediscovering Pigments on Greco-Roman<br />

Marble Sculpture - A Center team discovered minute traces of<br />

pigments using handheld X-ray fluorescence technology that<br />

originally covered an ancient marble sculpture. Creating<br />

replicas using 3D rapid prototypic technology, the team<br />

recreated and painted examples of the brightly colored<br />

sculpture of ancient times.<br />

3. Illustrated Title Pages:1500-1900 - 80 illustrated title pages,<br />

tracing the development of the title page from the 16th to<br />

19th centuries.<br />
