The International Museum Day agenda<br />

On the occasion of International Museum Day, museums around the will organise several<br />

activities. Here is a small glimpse of what will be on offer:<br />

Museum of Music Youth Day 2011 (5/15/2011)<br />

Free-entry, openings, performance, educational programme.<br />

Schoolchildren from across Parakou, the second largest city in<br />

Benin, West Africa, will be invited to the grand opening of the<br />

Museum of Music, the largest of its kind in this country. Live<br />

performances, prizes, and workshops will be conducted to<br />

celebrate the Beninese tradition of "Communicating through<br />

Music."<br />

Headpieces worn by various tribes of Benin. These are<br />

personalized to relate an individual's history and<br />

temperament.<br />
