On May 17-18, 2011 at National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova will be held scientific meetings
dedicated to celebrating 195 years since the creation of Bessarabia surveying Committee, led by Col. S.I.
Kornilovici.
The events will include:
1. Scientific conference "Land Ownership in Bessarabia: tradition, organization and regulation" (NMAHM,
Mmeeting room, beginning at 10.00 / 17 May 2011)
2. The inauguration of the exhibition "A mapping of old estates" (NMAHM, ground floor room / May 18, 2011).
We invite you to attend the Scientific Conference Land Ownership in Bessarabia: history, organization and
regulation, in which we expect to approach a wide range of issues related to surveying, cadastre and land
relations (institutions, legislation, persons, estates and landlords) in the territory between the Prut and Dniester
in the period between the late eighteenth century - first half of the twentieth century. If you decide to join our
events, please notify us of your presence and also send us until April 10, 2011 the abstract of your
communication by e-mail to info@nationalmuseum.md for its publication and the elaboration within a
reasonable time of the Conference program.
