Bus Tour to Museums (Wednesday, 18 May, 2011)
Free entry.
It is proposed that there will be an all day bus tour to several museums on International Museum Day. Starting
at the Barbados Museum, the tour will travel to George Washington House, the Museum of Parliament and
National Heroes Gallery, the Nidhe Isreal Museum, the Folkstone Museum and the Olympic Museum, and then
return to the Barbados Museum.
Entrance to these museums will be free and individuals will only be asked to make a contribution to
transportation.
This was a successful venture in the past and is worthy of being revisited. Marketing will be done to ascertain
whether Wednesday is preferable to Saturday.

A temporary exhibiton related to “Museum and Memory”, as
well as an exhibition highlighting African Awareness. There
will be local and as well as African cuisine available for sale
during the week.
