BUDGET:<br />
A series of budgets was prepared and submitted to the<br />
USOM/9angkok as the numbers of persons on the Mission increased.<br />
Originally, the budget contemplated a total of 15 members.<br />
The<br />
final budget attached to the CIPM contract was $39,070. This<br />
covered the following items:<br />
Per diem for the non-resident Thai members of the Mission;<br />
health and accident insurance; travel between cities in the<br />
United States and/or buses and taxis on the mainland; salary,<br />
per diem and travel for the project supervisors; registration<br />
fee for non-resident Thai Mission members at the American<br />
Management Association Seminar; consultants; conference rooms;<br />
training and out-of-pocket expenses directly related to the<br />
project; and a Surety bond for CIPM.<br />
In addition to the costs<br />
in the budget, there were other costs involved in fielding the<br />
Mission. The other costs include, possibly, some charges at<br />
the USOM/Bangkok; USIA; and Voice of America; Bangkok Bank Ltd.<br />
expenses, mostly for publicity; and some expenses in Honolulu<br />
where the program was organized by the East-West Center.<br />
addition, the Board of Investment incurred some expenses.<br />

attempt will be made to estimate the expenses of USIA and Voice<br />
of America.<br />
The expenses of the Board of Investment and<br />
Bangkok Bank Ltd. in New York are expected to be in the range<br />
