of requests for specific authorioations by American investors to

American investors, in those cases in which it was felt the
proposed investment supported Amer:can foreign policy in that
individual LOC.
Tt was stated that ,hLs arrangement between
State and A.I.D., on the one hand, rind OFDI, on the other hand,
was working, and that so far, OFDi had been responsive to State
and A.I.D. recommendations. It wns ,emphasizedthat in the case
