The Milford Sound sightseeing cruise - Mitre Peak Cruises - is an exclusive, uncrowded, unhurried cruise providing a very personal,<br />
nature-oriented experience for visitors to Milford Sound. Our vessels are small and intimate, purpose built, and with five different<br />
viewing areas provide spectacular viewing of dramatic and powerful Milford Sound. In summer we have scheduled trips seven times<br />
a day with the capacity to arrange special charters also. Our route traverses the complete fiord and extends into the Tasman Sea<br />
out to the lighthouse at St Anne’s Point. Our Skipper provides informative commentary venturing up the fiord, stopping frequently<br />
exploring cascading waterfalls, towering cliffs, rugged peaks, lush rainforest, seals and penguins. Should dolphins be at play, we<br />
make time to observe their exuberance.<br />
Mitre Peak Cruises sightseeing trips are ideally suited to independent travellers, backpackers, family groups and specialist tour<br />
groups. Our office is located inside the Milford Sound Visitor Centre and our vessel departs just outside the main jetty area.<br />
Complimentary tea and coffee is available throughout the cruise.<br />
