(Planning)<br />
Reviews and recommends <strong>to</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Council his<strong>to</strong>ric designations, certificates <strong>of</strong><br />
appropriateness and enforcement <strong>of</strong> his<strong>to</strong>ric preservation zoning. The <strong>City</strong> has six<br />
His<strong>to</strong>rical Preservation Districts: Heritage Hills, Mesta Park, Edgemere, Crown<br />
Heights, Jefferson Park and The Paseo. The 11 Commissioners are appointed by the<br />
Mayor <strong>to</strong> three-year terms. The Commission meets the first Wednesday <strong>of</strong> the month<br />
in the Council Chamber at 2 p.m.<br />
Housing Authority<br />

Industrial and Cultural Facilities Trust 297-5063<br />
Oversees the operation and promotion <strong>of</strong> industrial and cultural facilities in the <strong>City</strong>,<br />
including the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The five trustees are<br />
appointed by the Mayor <strong>to</strong> serve six-year terms. The trusteees meet quarterly at the<br />
Chamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce <strong>of</strong>fice at 123 Park Ave.<br />
Joint Insurance Committee (Personnel) 297-3375<br />
Makes recommendations <strong>to</strong> the Council and the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Municipal Facilities<br />
Authority Trustees concerning health and dental insurance issues. Membership<br />
includes one member as a representative <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Manager, one retired <strong>City</strong><br />
employee, two citizens selected by the Mayor, one representative from the Fraternal<br />
Order <strong>of</strong> Police and one representative from the Association <strong>of</strong> Federal, State,<br />
County and Municipal Employees. The Committee meets semi-monthly at 8:30 a.m.<br />
on the first Wednesday <strong>of</strong> each month in the Council Chamber.<br />
Judiciary Advisory Committee 297-2424<br />
(Mayor’s Office)<br />
Furnishes information, reviews applicant qualifications, conducts interviews, and<br />
makes recommendations <strong>to</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Council’s Judiciary Committee. The seven<br />
Committee members are appointed by the Mayor.<br />
License Appeals Board 297-2459<br />
(Development Services)<br />
Hears appeals <strong>of</strong> license denials made by the <strong>City</strong>’s Supervisor <strong>of</strong> Licenses. The<br />
Board consists <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Manager, the Finance Direc<strong>to</strong>r, and the Public Works<br />
Direc<strong>to</strong>r.<br />
