Oversees the development, maintenance, expansion and operation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Oklahoma</strong><br />

<strong>City</strong> Zoo. The nine trustees include the Mayor, the <strong>City</strong> Manager, a Council member<br />

and six members <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Zoological Society appointed by the Mayor. The<br />

trustees meet on the third Wednesday <strong>of</strong> the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Zoo’s Rosser<br />

Conservation/Education Center.<br />

Plumbing Code Review and Appeals Commission<br />

Reviews the <strong>City</strong>’s plumbing code and recommends changes <strong>to</strong> the Council; hears<br />

appeals <strong>of</strong> <strong>City</strong> decisions based on the plumbing code, plumbing license suspensions<br />

and revocations by the <strong>City</strong>’s Chief Plumbing Inspec<strong>to</strong>r. All <strong>of</strong> the Board’s five<br />

members have at least five years experience in the plumbing industry and are familiar<br />

with <strong>City</strong> and State plumbing codes. Two <strong>of</strong> the members must be pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

engineers registered with the State, two members must be licensed plumbing<br />

contrac<strong>to</strong>rs and one must be a journeyman plumber. All members are appointed by<br />

the Mayor <strong>to</strong> three-year terms. The Commission meets on an as-needed basis.<br />

Port Authority <strong>of</strong> the Greater <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>City</strong> Area<br />

Created <strong>to</strong> provide a means for the <strong>City</strong> <strong>to</strong> purchase, construct and operate port,<br />

terminal or transportation facilities, participate in State and Federal grants and<br />

establish and operate foreign trade zones. The Authority’s five members are<br />

appointed by the Mayor <strong>to</strong> four-year terms. The Board meets bi-monthly on the third<br />

Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Room 301, Will Rogers World Airport Terminal Building.<br />
