Advises the <strong>City</strong> Council regarding projects proposed for funding from the excise<br />

tax levied by Ordinance No. 23,942. The eleven- member committee consists <strong>of</strong> one<br />

member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Council, two at-large members and one member from each Ward<br />

appointed by the Mayor and Council.<br />

(Utilities)<br />

Oversees the administration, promotion, management, and maintenance <strong>of</strong> the water<br />

supply and facilities <strong>of</strong> the McGee Creek project in A<strong>to</strong>ka, OK. The Authority’s<br />

Board is comprised <strong>of</strong> Mayors <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>City</strong> and A<strong>to</strong>ka, OK, the Chairman<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> County Commissioners <strong>of</strong> A<strong>to</strong>ka County, the Chairman <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>City</strong> Utilities Trust and the Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Southern <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Development Association. The Board meets at least twice<br />

yearly, with additional meetings when necessary.<br />

Mechanical Code Review and 297-2454<br />

Appeals Commission (Development Services)<br />

Reviews and makes recommendations for amendments <strong>to</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Mechanical<br />

Code and hears appeals <strong>of</strong> actions by the <strong>City</strong>’s Chief Mechanical Inspec<strong>to</strong>r. The<br />

Commission may affirm, modify, or reverse a decision <strong>of</strong> the Chief Mechanical<br />

Inspec<strong>to</strong>r and may suspend or revoke a license issued under the Mechanical Code.<br />

The five Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor, and all must be <strong>Oklahoma</strong><br />

<strong>City</strong> residents. One <strong>of</strong> the Commissioners must be a State-licensed civil or<br />

mechanical engineer experienced in mechanical engineering, one must be a supplier<br />

<strong>of</strong> mechanical equipment, and two must hold masters’ licenses in technical trades<br />

licensed under the Mechanical Code. All Commissioners must have at least five<br />

years’ experience in their field. The Commissioners meet on an on-call basis.<br />
